Oh the places!

Put my moped in the shop for new tires and oil change, it hadn't been rode for a year, or maybe more. The tires were cracking and scaring me. So I'm in alamosa for another day. May catch a ride with my brother to lake city if the bike isn't ready today. They are conveniently going there tomorrow. Otherwise ill meet them if the bike is ready.

I saw 5 rainbows today two doubles and a piece! I'm checking into a koa campsite for the night.

The end of the rainbow was about 50 yards away, but I figured my moped couldn't carry a pot of gold. And we have all seen the leprechaun series.

Trinidad

Safe and checked into a Trinidad motel. That little moped went like 120 miles on about a gallon! It will be fun to see how far it can go before it putters out! I'm gonna explore the town a bit.

Just ate lunch, we worked this morning, we have two projects to finish before we go to Trinidad.

Well we worked on putting in a water spigot and painted, ate well, gonna finish a few things tomorrow before we go to Trinidad.

Have been working for Rick today, just had lunch an gonna do more work here in a bit.

Well, ill be in Trinidad Friday, gonna do work here in prichett for nice guy named Richard Hoover, and ill get a ride there in return. I started to leave when I ran into him. Pretty cool place, interesting little town.

Some sweet ladies that work at the post office gave me some delicious food stuffs, thank you post office ladies! I am going to take advantage of this cloud coverage and head out soon!

that was actually about 11 when I got here, I've been sleeping and mapping. I plan on taking off at about 7 or 8 and should be in Kim by tomorrow.

Have just been sitting looking at Colorado map, given to me by Maryanne and Bryon back on day 2 thanks for the maps! Explored springfield a bit and helped a tiny bit at the house with Jack. Gonna head out early tomorrow.

Helped put up an electric fence and worked on a house that Jack owns in springfield co, he fed me and is letting me crash here tonight and most of tomorrow night before I take off. Thanks Walker family!

Saunders is composed of a grain elevator, so I'm here in Bartlet met a farmer and gonna work a bit

Have been doing yard work all day and JC has been treating me to the different restaurants in town, I plan on leaving tonight at 12am or 1 am towards saunders, the last town in Kansas!

Well, long story short I walked about 12 miles and was picked up by a farm worker, margarito pinion muchas gracias mas que puedo Dicir. Then when in town I stopped at the motel about 630 and the clerk was a little rude to me, probably cause I scared him half to death. Anywho I wandered looking for food down a downtown with no one in it. Then I ran into JC Chapman and had breakfast with him. Then he showed me around. I'm gonna stay a couple days at his place and do some work around his house. He is a very nice man, a retired music teacher, taught for 40 years.

Sitting in motel. Thinking ill head towards Johnson tonight by foot, the bike went to some grandchildren of a nice older man I ran across. He paid my motel and ran me around town for food as a trade. Although I wanted to give it as it was to me. I'm on foot from here, thinking travel by night.

Safe and sound in ullyses. The new bike didn't work out as well as planned. I found a new owner for it, and he took me into town. Gonna rethink my plans for two nights.

Helped out today on the Odger's farm, we gathered irrigation pipe and attacked weeds with shovels. Worked with and met a lot of really cool people, pretty fun and exciting day! Tomorrow I head out again toward Ullyses!

bearings in my tire broke completely right in front of the Odgers farm on road 27, they insisted on giving me a bike and I insisted on paying, so ill help out tomorrow to get pipe.
